Privacy and Cookies

In the light of GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) in May, I will be revising the privacy policy for this site before that date. In the meantime, here's some limited information about privacy and cookies on this site.

I won't sell or make available your personal information without your permission.

What are Cookies?

Cookies are small files that get stored on your computer by websites as you surf the web. Cookies can store lots of information which can have privacy implications. However, I think the cookies used on this site are fairly innocuous.

The only cookies in use on this site are for Google Analytics. This is a web analytics tool that helps website owners understand how visitors engage with their website.

Google Analytics cookies are used to collect information about how visitors use the site and this can be used to help improve it. The cookies collect information anonymously, including the number of visitors to the site, where visitors have come to the site from, and the pages they visited etc.

Google Analytics reports website trends without identifying individual visitors. You can opt out of being tracked by Google Analytics here (I'd prefer you didn't because this data is helpful for improving the website).

How do I change my Cookie Settings?

Most web browsers allow some control of most cookies through the browser settings.
